The films in this collection were chosen for their timeless qualities and the intimate way in which these filmmakers told their story.

This collection contains these four films, click their title to view that film's page:

Second Hand Dolls (6 min) - 'Second Hand Dolls' tells the story of two women: Judi, an African American woman who rents and sells used mannequins, and Linda, a 70 year old white woman who is a ballet dancer. The two stories converge to tell a broader story of beauty, vibrancy, and repurpose at the end of the life span. The two women contemplate the obsession with youth, novelty, and conventional notions of what is beautiful and useful while confronting a throwaway culture that too readily discards the 'old' and 'passé.'

Clandestine (30 min) - Half documentary and half fiction, 'Clandestine' intertwines the history of spy radio broadcasts with the story of a man's relationship with his father to show how childish fantasies can lead personal heroes to public villainy. Made with almost entirely public domain materials.

Surviving Cupid's Arrows (20 min) - How do loving couples survive the storms of long-term relationships? This short documentary takes a wry look at the dynamics of five committed couples and how spirituality, sensuality, and creativity contribute to enduring intimacy.

Looking Back (6 min) - Albert Lewis struggles with addiction and with memories of war, using photography to help him survive in a supportive community of homeless veterans.
