Awards
Thin Line Film Fest is proud to present five awards this 2010 season:

PanavisionThe Panavision Best Documentary Award is presented to the best documentary in each category (Feature and Short) based on the following characteristics: 1. Be technically and creatively well-rounded and consistent. 2. Contain innovative elements that utilize the array of directorial decisions and creativity including, but not limited to: interview techniques (if there are interviews), narrative flow (traditional or not), overall style and approach to subject matter, as well as interest and importance of the content, subject, and people or things involved in the film. 3. Judges will NOT judge based on personal beliefs about the subject matter itself or any ethical concerns privately held by any one jury member. Winners will be announced at the Closing Night party February 20th. Winner will receive a $3,000 credit toward rentals at Panavision.

The best feature and short documentaries will screen again on Sunday, February 21, 8PM at the Campus Theater.

The Euline & Horace Brock Audience Choice Award is presented to the documentary in each category (Feature and Short) that received the highest number of votes from the audience that saw the film. Each audience member will receive a paper ballot when they enter the theater. At the end of the film, the ballots will be collected as the audience leaves. Winners will receive production gear worth $500.

The audience choice feature and short documentaries will screen again on Sunday, February 21, 5PM at the Campus Theater.

VideotexThe Videotex Best Student Documentary Award is presented to the student project that best meets the criteria set forth for the Panavision Best Documentary Award above. Only student projects are applicable. This year, Thin Line Film Fest is not screening any feature films by students and therefore we will only present an award for the Best Student Short Documentary. Winner will receive production gear worth $500.

Closing Reception

Saturday, February 20, 9PM, UNT on the Square

Although the festival runs through Sunday night, we like to give everyone the opportunity to party it up! The Awards Ceremony and Closing Reception is held on Saturday night beginning at 9PM. Once again, we get to use the new UNT on the Square art gallery. There will be quality work on the walls and quality tunes in the air. As always, a selection of food will be provided by a soon to be announced local restaurant.

Once everyone has warmed up a bit, we'll present the awards. Here's how you can enjoy this event:

... with an All-Access Festival Pass - this is the best way to enjoy the festival. You'll get into every event!

... with a Ticket - If you only want to enjoy the party, then simply buy a single ticket. It's that easy! Tickets go on sale Friday, Jan 22.
