Texas Filmmakers is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation founded in 2004. Our mission is:


To support the regional film and video community by providing access to education, experience, equipment, exhibition, and other essential production resources.

Programs & Services:

  • Thin Line Film Fest - Texas' only documentary film festival.
  • TF Online - A complete online social and professional networking community. Advertise your self and your skills. Find others and work together. Fully featured video sharing site - upload as many videos as you want up to 700MB at a time! Photo sharing, file sharing, groups, forums, and much more!
  • Low-Cost Equipment Rental - Texas Filmmakers purchases production equipment as the funds become available and then rents it out to our members at the lowest possible prices. Texas Filmmakers puts the tools into the hands of those who would not normally have access.
  • Low-Cost Editing Lab - The Texas Filmmakers office houses three non-linear video editing workstations. These are available at discounted rates to members or standard rates to non-members.
  • Independent Film Screenings - Texas Filmmakers frequently screens independent films by local artists at various venues in North Texas.
  • Texas Film & Video Grants - Offers production grants for Texas-based filmmakers of up to $1,000.
  • 48 Hour Video Races (Semi-Annually) - Every October its the 48 Hours of Hell and then in April its Video Vacation.
